For Caldwell's farming families and working households, distance Reiki and aura sprays offer a quiet way to ease tension after long days, delivered right to the door.
Set in Canyon County along Indian Creek and the Boise River, Caldwell keeps its agricultural and wine-country roots while the College of Idaho and a revived downtown bring students, cafes, and small studios into the mix.
August brings the Caldwell Night Rodeo and the last long stretch of the farming season, when early mornings stack up for weeks. Aura sprays and essence blends are mixed to order in Michigan and posted here. Keeping them on a shelf means no booking and no drive when a quiet moment finally arrives.
The Idaho and Oregon Land Improvement Company platted Caldwell in August 1883, and the speed of what followed is the striking part: within four months there were six hundred people in a hundred and fifty dwellings, with forty businesses, a school, a telephone exchange and two newspapers. It is named for Alexander Caldwell, a former senator from Kansas and a business partner of the railroad developer Robert E. Strahorn. The College of Idaho was founded here in 1891 on what is now a fifty-five-acre campus. Indian Creek through the downtown was restored in 2009 and the plaza built around it runs an ice ribbon each winter.
