Remote Reiki attunements and personalized flower essence blends serve Rexburg clients across the Upper Snake River Valley, so distance never limits the care within reach.
Anchored by BYU-Idaho in the Upper Snake River Valley, Rexburg is a young, family-centered college town surrounded by potato and seed farms, with easy access to Yellowstone and the Tetons feeding an active, outdoors-oriented lifestyle.
Deep cold runs long on this stretch of the Upper Snake River Plain, with nights that keep families indoors for months. Distance Reiki reaches a living room as readily as any other room, whatever the temperature outside. Blends posted from Michigan arrive whenever the mail runs, no errand needed on a subzero afternoon.
Thomas Edwin Ricks founded Rexburg in 1883 and it incorporated the same year. The defining event in its modern history came in June 1976, when the Teton Dam failed upstream and the Teton River put most of the northern town under water for several days; a museum in the basement of the Rexburg Tabernacle keeps the record of it. The academy Ricks started in 1888 was named for him, and on August 10, 2001 Ricks College became a four-year institution and took the name Brigham Young University-Idaho. The 2020 census counted 39,409 people in what is the seat of Madison County.
