Quan Yin's Lavender Flame is a compassion-centred energy system copyrighted in 2003, written by Andrea "Suraya" Meyers, an ordained Healing Minister through Chrysalis Healing Ministries who had been attuned to Lightarian Reiki, Shamballa MDH, Blue Star Celestial Energy and Usui Reiki before this came through.
She dates the empowerment to 5 July 2001, when, sitting in her car after reading about animal cruelty, she was surrounded by a rosy-lavender energy that entered through the heart and crown at once.
It followed a vision the year before in which she understood Quan Yin to ask her to bring forward a rose or lavender energy that would carry deeper compassion into the world and help people reconnect to their own Compassionate One.
Quan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion known also as Kuan Yin, Quan'Am in Vietnam, Kannon in Japan and Kanin in Bali, is the deity at the centre of it, and the system's symbol is a lavender lotus drawn petal by petal with the leaves swept beneath in one line. The second half of the system is the Lotus Jewels, energetic gifts from Quan Yin about the size of a ping-pong ball, each carrying a quality, a colour and a place in the energy field, beginning with the Lotus Jewel of Karmic Release which is included in every Lavender Flame attunement.

How it is used:
You can call the energy by saying "Lavender Flame on" and intending it to flow, by reciting the Quan Yin mantra "Namo Quan Shih Yin Pu'sa," by drawing the lavender lotus symbol in the air or on both palms, or by asking Quan Yin and the angels to make you a vessel for it. The energy is usually felt entering the crown and heart at the same time and moving down to the palms.
For distance work you chant the mantra until the energy builds, name the person, then form a lotus mudra by touching the tips of your thumbs and index fingers and picture them at its centre. The manual also gives a rose quartz prayer method, where the recipient's name and concern go at the top of a sheet filled with the mantra, folded, marked with the symbols and left on an altar under a rose quartz.
