The Goddess Aine

The Goddess Aine attunement was channelled and compiled by Elizabeth Hibel in June 2007 and gathers, in one manual, the lore of the Irish goddess Aine so that a practitioner can work with her directly. Aine, pronounced aw-ne, is of the Tuatha De Danann, her name meaning brightness and delight, and she is titled The Leanaun Sidhe. She is the Fairy Queen of Munster, a moon goddess and a love goddess, daughter of Manannan Mac Lir and granddaughter of Lir, sister to the sun goddess Grian and to Aoife.

The manual records that sites in Munster and Connaught were dedicated to her worship around 500 BC and that her popularity reached the Western Isles of Scotland. It sets out her properties as healing, the spark of life, vitality, fertility, protection and prosperity, lists the herbs and trees tied to each of those, and follows her through her triple aspect as maiden, mother and crone, including her stone on Cnoc Aine, her connection to the summer solstice and the yew tree, and the well called Tobar-Na-Aine.

How it is used:

To pass the attunement you find a quiet place, call in your helpers, guides or great spirit and ask for their help and protection, then ask to be a clear and pure channel. Surround yourself and the person with white and gold light, ask them to sit quietly with eyes closed, place your hands on them and see the energies passing across. Ask that they receive it perfectly and for the greater good of all. A distant attunement is done the same way, visualising the person and seeing the energy travel to them. Afterwards you invite feedback, thank your helpers and offer a glass of water.
