Virtual healing and shipped botanical wellness for the Penobscot River region.
A northern Maine community grounded in self-reliance and natural wellness.
Bangor carries a whole region on its shoulders, and the Queen City fills up with people driving in from towns much smaller. A remote session runs the other way, reaching you at home whether the Penobscot runs open or locks under ice. Every attunement arrives as digital files, and those files remain yours to open again on any long northern night.
Bangor started as Kenduskeag Plantation in 1791 and was incorporated as a town in 1834, and the name is said to come from a Welsh hymn tune. By 1860 it was the largest lumber port in the world, with 150 sawmills shipping over 150 million board feet a year down the Penobscot. Normand Martin built the fiberglass-over-metal Paul Bunyan statue in 1959, and it still stands as the monument to all of that. Stephen King owns the 1856 William Arnold House, the Italianate mansion whose wrought-iron fence he had made with bats and spider webs in it.
