Flower essence blends and distance Reiki reach Oberlin by post, offered with quiet attention to a small town with an outsized moral history.
A Lorain County college town in northern Ohio with a long abolitionist and conservatory tradition, where a principled, reflective culture suits contemplative practice.
The town is small and the college sets the calendar, so it swells and empties twice a year. Digital attunement materials stay yours permanently regardless of where the next year takes you. Aura sprays and essences are prepared to order in Michigan and mailed.
Oberlin was a key junction on the Underground Railroad, where at least five routes toward freedom converged, and it is recorded that no fugitive in Oberlin was ever returned to bondage; it was often the last stop before Canada. In September 1859 a fugitive named John Price was seized and taken to nearby Wellington to await transport back to Kentucky, and students from Oberlin College set out on foot to get him back, followed by black and white townspeople together. Two Oberlin residents, John Anthony Copeland and Lewis Sheridan Leary, joined John Brown at Harpers Ferry; Copeland was hanged that December. Oberlin College itself was the first institution of higher learning in the country to admit women and among the first to enroll African Americans.
