Remote Reiki and hand-mixed flower essence blends reach Chambersburg by post, offered with care to a valley town that rebuilt itself once from the ground up.
A Franklin County seat in the Cumberland Valley where two limestone creeks meet in the middle of town, suiting practical, water-adjacent, steady routines.
The valley runs south into Maryland and the interstate carries a good deal of freight through, so the town is busier than its size suggests. A session at home stays out of it. Essences and aura sprays are blended to order in Michigan and sent to your address.
Chambersburg began in 1730 when water mills were built where Conococheague Creek and Falling Spring Creek meet, and both still run through the centre of town in the Cumberland Valley. Falling Spring is a limestone stream well known among trout anglers. Franklin County was formed on September 9, 1784 out of Cumberland County and named for Benjamin Franklin. The town's hardest day came on Saturday, July 30, 1864, when General John McCausland, under orders from Jubal Early, entered with two thousand eight hundred Confederate cavalry and demanded a ransom in retaliation for destruction in the Shenandoah Valley. The firing began about eight in the morning and destroyed more than five hundred buildings, leaving over two thousand people homeless. It was the only major northern town burned during the war.
