🌐 Distance Healing & Shipped ProductsFlower Essence Therapy & Reiki in Chimayo
Distance Reiki and hand-blended flower essences reach Chimayo by post, offered quietly to a village that has held its own devotional and craft traditions for generations.
A Santa Fe County village in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo, with a seven-generation weaving lineage and a long pilgrimage tradition that make contemplative practice familiar.
The High Road climbs and narrows here, and the village keeps a slower clock than Santa Fe half an hour south. A session received at home fits that pace. Essences and aura sprays are blended to order in Michigan and sent by post.
Chimayo lies about twenty-five to twenty-eight miles north of Santa Fe along NM 76 and 285, on the High Road to Taos, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. El Santuario de Chimayo is a small adobe shrine known far beyond New Mexico, and during Holy Week the streets of nearby El Potrero fill with as many as forty thousand pilgrims walking in. The village is also the historic weaving centre of the region. Families here still work a textile tradition their ancestors began in the early 1800s, with roots reaching back into the 1700s, and the Ortega family home now holds the Chimayo Museum while the craft continues a few steps away. The weavings are among the finest of the Rio Grande style, many of them made from naturally dyed wool.
